Facilities
Group Accommodation
Lledr Hall’s main building has accommodation for a total of 58 people. There is also a separate 15 bed cottage 50metres from the main building.
There are two dormitories in the original house, one sleeps 10 and the other 12. In the newer part of the building there are 4 dormitories, 3 that sleep 8 and the other sleeps 4. These rooms all have bunk beds with storage drawers underneath. There are pillows provided but students each need to bring a sleeping bag and pillowcase.
There is a staff bedroom close to each set of dormitories and the visiting staff lounge is located between them so girls and boys are kept separate. Please click here for a diagram of the room layout.
Staff Accommodation
There are two staff rooms on the first floor near the student dormitories one with 3 beds, the other with two, each have en-suite facilities including showers. All staff bedding is provided.
A fully accessible suite on the ground floor has 2 beds, plus an additional pull-out bed also with en-suite facilities.
Group Bathrooms
Each group of dorms has its own bathroom with toilets, sinks and showers in cubicles.
There is also a ground floor shower room which is usually used after wet activities or as an overflow for the children sleeping in the old house.
Students need to bring a simple wash kit and a towel.
Lounge
There is a comfortable lounge area on the ground floor with views across the grounds to the river. This room affords a close up view of wild birds feeding just outside the windows. This room is used as a meeting room and during free time, we provide a selection of board games, books and magazines. The lounge also has the facility to play movies or watch a slide show of photos from the course.
Staff Lounge
The visiting staff lounge is located on the first floor between the two dormitory areas. It has tea and coffee making facilities, a fridge and microwave, a computer with internet access and comfortable seating. There is a balcony opposite the lounge where you can enjoy views of the grounds and hopefully some sunshine.
Classroom
The modern classroom is a versatile space that can be set up as a school room for written work or used for group games and activities. We have a modern sound system and lighting equipment for disco nights.
Dining Room
The dining room can accommodate the entire group in one sitting. There are tea and coffee making facilities for staff next door to the dining room, in addition to upstairs in the visiting staff lounge. A fridge is also available here for storage of any food for special dietary requirements. Please click here for more information about our catering.
Drying Room
The gear store is designed to act as a drying room; there are hot pipes and a dehumidifier to dry kit overnight. Should clothes get really wet, we have a spin dryer and a separate drying room complete with a tumble dryer and its own dehumidifier.
Computer and Photography equipment
We provide waterproof and shockproof cameras for each group so a record can be made of all the activities during the stay. There is a computer with internet access in the staff lounge.
Projectors and disco equipment
We can provide a projector and computer equipment for use in the lounge or classroom. As mentioned above, we have a modern sound system and lighting equipment for discos.
Phone
There is limited mobile signal at the centre. There is a landline for staff use in the upstairs staff lounge.
Equipment
We supply all equipment needed for the outdoor activities at Lledr Hall. Everyone is given a fleece jumper, rucksack, walking boots, waterproof trousers and waterproof jacket. All specialist equipment is then provided depending on which activities are programmed. If students have their own kit they are welcome to bring it but this is not necessary. To see our recommended kit list click here.
The equipment is subject to rigorous safety checks and meets industry standard safety recommendations.
Car Parking
There are plenty of parking spaces at Lledr Hall for cars and mini buses, however coaches cannot access Lledr Hall due to the narrow drive way and tight corners. Please click here for drop off and transfer arrangements.
The Cottage
The cottage is our separate accommodation building located 50 metres from the main house. It sleeps 15 people altogether in 2 bunk rooms and 2 staff rooms with single beds. It also has two separate bathrooms, a kitchen dining room. It can be used as extra accommodation for groups in the main house or for separate groups, and can be self-catering or catered.
